What is Scouting for Food?

Scouting for Food is a community service initiative where Pack 408 collects non-perishable food items to donate to local food banks, shelters, and other organizations that help those in need. This program is a way for our Cubs to give back to their communities and help fight hunger. Pack 408 donates to Mattie Dixon Cupboard in Ambler. Our Cubs will distribute door hangers in advance to inform the community about the upcoming food drive and encourage participation.

Door hangers will be distributed to the Pack at the October Pack Meeting. Cub Scouts are encouraged to distribute door hangers on November 9th and pick up food donations on November 16th. Food drop-off will be at the church on November 16h at a time to be determined.

Following the food drop-off, the Cub Scouts will participate in a community service project by raking leaves at the church.

Fall refreshments will be served after the leaf raking activity.
